GCSE Revision Resources

It is getting to that crunch time of the year where GCSE revision is becoming more and more key to raising achievement and grades. I often say that a little but frequent revision is the way forward - even if it is just playing a couple of the games on the linked websites for 15 minutes a day.

Again below I have 'ranked' the websites into order of usefulness and the top two websites are very useful as they allow you to practice past exam questions and then see the answers and your grades later on. In addition to these sites, there is also the 'linguastars' website which is extensive and useful and can be found at www.linguascope.com at the top 'banner' of the page, again with our same username and password.

KS3 Resources and Websites

After thinking about it for quite some time, (I need to get a life in half term) I've decided to sort out the most useful links into Key Stage 3 (Years 7,8,9) and Key Stage 4 (Years 10&11) sections, which will be more appropriate. Hence, below are the useful links for Key Stage 3, all in one place. As well as the core links, which appear on an earlier post below, these resources will be useful for all pupils to practice vocab and grammar points. I've also been sad enough to rank them in order of 'coolness'. (Still far too much time on my hands)...

French Resources

As a French department, we like to share our resources, as well as the interactive websites we use during ICT based lessons, which allow more independent and distance language learning. Below are some of the main websites we use, which we encourage pupils to use out of lesson time. In addition, there are reminders of our usernames beside, but if you as a pupil forget the password we use, please send me a message, stating your name and class...

username: cityhigh
www.atantot.com username: hmashv

In addition to these 'starting websites' that I will publish links to, look out for a post of mainly 'interactive' or 'hot potato' sites which allow you to do tasks online, have them marked and receive instant feedback!!

Welcome to the Wakefield City High MFL Blog!!!

Hello everyone and welcome to the Wakefield City High MFL Blog!!

Hopefully over the course of the next few months more and more pupils of Wakefield City High School will be able to use this space to upload
and post work done in and out of class, comment on contributions made by members of the school here and view resources which will allow them achieve their potential in MFL!!

Obviously, in the first few weeks of this blog, there may be some teething problems - however all I ask for is a bit of patience, and contributors to be sensible and mature in the way they use this facility, remembering the spirit in which it was set up!!
